Solemnisation in the Sky
Despite a whole week of torrential rain, the sun shone fiercely on the morning of 19th May 2013. It was great
weather for the two lovebirds who were about to solemnise their marriage at 5000 ft in the air. I was ecstatic to
pilot the flight that marked the beginning of their journey as a couple.
Claudia and Zhang Qiang took to the skies in what is indubitably the most breathtaking and memorable manner one can
solemnise one’s marriage. Indeed, the couple have proven that their love for each other transcends all earth-bound

Everyone had a great time. The couple’s solemniser, Mr Raymond
Wee, had previously solemnised a marriage underwater at Sentosa Underwater World in 2010. In Mr Wee’s own words,
the flight marked a new ‘record’ in his solemnisation history.
I trust that it was a terrific and unforgettable experience for
all the parties involved. I am thrilled to have been a part of this solemnisation. Once again, my heartiest
congratulations to the happy couple, Claudia and Zhang Qiang!
